OUR CHURCH LIFE
"LIVING WITH CANCER"
Many in our community have been touched by cancer. You are invited to gather the last
Wednesday of each month. Our time together will provide an opportunity to hear stories
and offer support and encouragement. Watch the bulletin for times and dates call the
church office 376-1736, or contact Joy Wagler
SOUP KITCHEN PROJECT
We are calling our unknown volunteers to restock the cupboard . . . There is always a need for canned sandwich fillings: tuna, salmon, ham, turkey, etc. Other supplies are purchased from the Benevolent Fund. The 8 loaves of sandwichs are delivered, twice a month, to the Mental Health Association located at Union Place to further their work of helping people in our community. Your donations are greatly appreciated in this project.
HOME WITH A HEART . . . . Home Making Program to Help Single Mothers Manage Home, Parenting, Finances and Employment.
Home with a Heart is a unique, North America wide program designed to teach women the skills needed to effectively manage their homes. The Owen Sound program is funded and managed by the Christian Reformed Church and runs 2 times per year at the New Life Centre. Participant space is limited. JANUARY
CREATIVE HANDS - Learn To Paint Class
Thursdays Jan. 12th, 26th and Feb. 9th, 23rd
In the Upper Hallway, 1 to 3 p.m. Lois Urstadt will lead this class for beginners. Register with Joy by Monday January 9th. A registration fee of $15 will provide you with a small painting kit. If there is interest an evening painting class will be offered. Let Joy know if you are interested.
WINTER FUN DAY - Sunday January 22nd
At the Harrison Park Community Centre - Don't miss this annual event - an opportunity to embrace the season of winter and have some fun together. Dress for the weather, bring your sports equipment, sleighs, etc. and enjoy the park. Hot beverages around the fireplace will be available in the community centre during the afternoon. We will share a potluck meal at 5 pm as well as songs and favourite stories. Please bring your dishes and cutlery.
